User Agreement

1. Scope of the service

QR Car Contact is a communication service that allows visitors to send preset messages or short voice messages through QR codes created by vehicle owners. The service is designed to reduce direct sharing of phone numbers.

2. Free use during the first year

The QR Car Contact service is strictly free for the first 12 months starting from the date the user creates an account. No membership or usage fee is charged during this period.

The service may become paid after the first 12-month free period is completed. Any such change will be announced in advance and applied only with the user’s explicit approval. No fee will be charged and no paid membership will start without the user’s consent.

3. Account and user responsibility

The user is responsible for keeping registration details accurate and up to date and for the security of the account, password, and devices used. If unauthorized use of the account is noticed, the password should be changed and the service provider should be informed.

The user may create records and QR codes only for vehicles they are authorized to use. Misleading, unlawful, threatening, harassing, or rights-infringing use is prohibited.

4. Device, app, and notification settings

Receiving text and voice message notifications depends on internet access, a supported mobile device and browser, the app being installed, notification permission, operating system settings, battery-saving policies, and third-party notification infrastructure.

The system may send repeated reminders for unread notifications at defined intervals. In the current flow, additional notifications for an unread text or voice message may be produced at approximately 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 5, 10, and 30 minute intervals; these repeats stop when the message is read or the session expires.

The user is responsible for checking notification settings after a phone, browser, operating system, permission, installation, or device change and for registering a new device with the service. The user must keep notifications enabled and monitor current communication preferences.

5. Nature of messages

QR Car Contact is not an emergency, safety, law enforcement, health, or uninterrupted communication service. In emergencies, the communication channels of the relevant public authorities should be used. The accuracy or identity of content sent by visitors is not verified in advance by the service provider.

The user uses written and voice messages at their own discretion. The accuracy of messages, the identity of the sender, or the suitability of content for a particular purpose is not guaranteed.

6. Messages and retention period

When the voice message feature is used, microphone access is activated only within the permission granted on the user’s or visitor’s device. The recording is uploaded to the service servers so that it can be delivered to the vehicle owner and played from the account.

Written and voice message records are stored temporarily and are automatically deleted about 24 hours after they are sent. Short differences may occur because of maintenance, backup cycles, or deletion job timing. There is no guarantee that deleted messages or recordings can be restored.

A person sending a voice message must not include private information of third parties, unlawful content, threats, insults, or personal data they are not authorized to share. The service provider does not listen to or verify recordings before they are sent.

7. Service availability

Reasonable technical effort is made to keep the service secure and orderly. However, maintenance, updates, internet or hosting outages, device incompatibility, browser restrictions, Firebase, and similar third-party systems may cause delays or temporary access issues.

There is no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or operate identically on every device, or that every written or voice message will always be delivered instantly. Repeated reminder notifications are an additional convenience and are not guaranteed to have the same effect on every device.

8. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service provider cannot be held responsible for indirect losses or damages arising from the user’s device or notification settings, connection problems, incorrect or unauthorized use, third-party content, or systems outside the service. Mandatory rights and obligations under applicable law remain reserved.

9. Service changes and account actions

Features and terms of use may be updated because of security, legal requirements, technical needs, or service improvements. Material changes will be communicated to users through an appropriate method and may require renewed acceptance.

In the event of unlawful use, security risk, abuse, or violation of these terms, the relevant content, QR code, or account may be temporarily or permanently restricted.

10. Personal data

Data necessary for account creation, security, device and notification registration management, and text and voice message functions may be processed. Information and application channels regarding personal data should also be explained in the provided privacy notice.

11. Contact and governing rules

The contact@qrcarcontact.com address may be used for notices and requests regarding the service. Matters not regulated in this agreement are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey; mandatory consumer rights remain reserved.
